Tarun Goyal Sir began his teaching career in Meerut in 1999, founding The Tutors with two courses — Bhasha and Raksha. What started as a focused effort to coach a handful of aspirants slowly grew into a recognised institution in north India.
His first General Knowledge titles, published in 2003 with Arihant Publications, marked the beginning of a publishing career that has now reached lakhs of competitive aspirants.
As editor of Competition in Focus magazine from 2006, he refined the craft of distilling enormous volumes of information into sharp, examination-ready insight.
In 2019, Tarun Sir joined Unacademy as a UPSC educator, bringing decades of classroom methodology to India's largest digital learning platform.
He launched his independent publication house, Tarun Goyal Classes, in 2021 — and in 2026, that effort matured into Tarun Goyal & Co., a full publishing house and educational brand.
His work spans English and Bangla editions, objective question banks of 10,000 and 15,000 questions, and a YouTube classroom that meets students wherever they are. Through every format, the philosophy remains the same: teach the why, not just the what.
